Welcome to celebrate the 25th anniversary of geocaching to Satakunta, Pori, Yyteri. Yyteri is known from one of the longest beaches in Finland, and at the heart of the event - along with the anniversary celebration - are the diverse nature of Yyteri and the sea, and of course Pori itself.
The event is intended for geocachers of all ages and those interested in geocaching, and there are planned all kinds of activities at the beach of Yyteri. Logbook can be found at the given coordinates N 61° 34.058 E 021° 31.501 and it will be open from 12:00 to 18:00. The event is organised by Satakunnan Geokätköilijät ry.
Guidelines for visitors to Yyteri:
Please note that it is forbidden to walk on the fenced dune areas of Yyteri! Walking is only allowed on marked hiking trails, longitudinal paths or along the shoreline. During the event there will also be a map and signposts to guide the way.
Yyteri beach is a dog-free area. Dogs are welcome in the core area of the event, but unfortunately furry friends are not allowed on the beach. The private beach area for dogs is located at Merisatamantie 13.
